This flashlight is of good quality and construction, but one feature needs to be upgraded - and that’s the wrist lanyard. The lanyard at the base of the handle knob is very thin and not substantial enough to secure the flashlight. Several times I simulated losing grip of the handle while my wrist was in the loop of the lanyard while I was walking. After about four or five simulations of this, the thin threaded end of the lanyard the connects to the flashlight physically broke spending the flashlight to the road below causing very minor damage to the flashlight.
I’ve since had to rig a more robust lanyard that gives me the confidence that it will remain on my wrist if I lose grip of it while fending of a stray dog while on a walk at night, which is the reason I purchased this flashlight. I need it to illuminate the path in front of me while providing the ability to confidently defend myself from the occasional aggressive stray dog.
